Introduction

Apple launched the iPhone 17 series on September 9, 2025. This lineup includes the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the all-new  5.6 mm ultra-thin iPhone Air. Until last year, iPhones started with 128GB of storage. But this year, Apple has upgraded the base storage to 256GB across all models, starting from the standard iPhone 17. The iPhone 17 comes with storage up to 512GB. Both the iPhone Air and iPhone 17 Pro offer storage up to 1TB. The iPhone 17 Pro Max has the highest option with 2TB, which is the first time Apple has introduced this much storage in the iPhone series. Camera : iPhone 17 Series Comparison

Build and design of iPhone 17 series

The iPhone 17 series comes in different sizes. The iPhone 17 measures 149.6 × 71.5 × 7.95 mm, the iPhone Air is 156.2 × 74.7 × 5.64 mm, the iPhone 17 Pro is 150.0 × 71.9 × 8.75 mm, and the iPhone 17 Pro Max is the largest at 163.4 × 78.0 × 8.75 mm. All models use a USB‑C charger and have a front made of Ceramic Shield 2 glass, which is three times more scratch-resistant than before. The iPhone 17 and iPhone Air have glass backs with anodized aluminum frames. The iPhone 17 Pro has a textured matte glass back with a stainless steel frame, while the iPhone 17 Pro Max also has a stainless steel frame.
